White Magnolia is only 30+ minutes from League City, Clear Lake, Kemah, Friendswood and several other nearby communities. It’s close enough for a quick drive, but feels like a whole new world once you arrive.
Our East End location also puts you near local favorites like The Bryan Museum and the Historic Strand District, making it easy to build a full weekend itinerary without a lot of planning.
🍽️ Dining Out—and a Special Meal In
The group sampled one of our local favorites, Taquilos Mexican Restaurant, which is walking distance from White Magnolia and on the same street—21st Street! A fun meal out on Postoffice Street is the perfect way to kick off the weekend.
One of the highlights of their stay was a cozy dinner in. White Magnolia’s fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to divide up dishes and create a shared meal that feels special but relaxed.

From boutique shopping on The Strand to cozy game nights back at the house, the ladies found countless ways to connect. Our living room makes it easy for 8+ people to spread out, play games, talk, and unwind. Guests have many games and puzzles to choose from, as well as playing cards for late-night laughs.
If your group loves exploring, you’ll enjoy strolling through the Historic Strand District with its boutiques, galleries, and local favorites. It pairs perfectly with other seasonal Galveston experiences .

With the shoreline nearby, the group started and ended their days with peaceful sunrise and sunset walks—the perfect bookends to a restorative retreat. Whether you prefer a quiet moment with coffee or a chatty walk with friends, the Gulf views never disappoint.
