🔑 How do you access the property?
Guests enter White Magnolia Galveston through the private courtyard located between the main house and the garage. A smart lock code will be provided by the host prior to your arrival — this unique code is used to securely access the property.
Once inside, guests are welcome to come and go through the front door for convenience. To fully lock up the property when leaving, guests should use the rear entry connected to the courtyard.
🅿️ How much parking is available on-site?
White Magnolia offers ample parking for guests. The private driveway fits two standard vehicles, and there are also free street parking options available directly in front of the property and on nearby side streets (subject to city regulations).
🚢 Is there free parking while we are on our cruise out of Galveston?
Many cruise guests take advantage of free public parking on the adjacent M 1/2 Street, located beside The Bryan Museum, just steps from White Magnolia. This area is popular with cruise travelers and is best suited for SUVs or trucks, as the street can retain water during heavy rains.
Please note: this parking is public city parking and is not provided, monitored, or guaranteed by White Magnolia. Guests must park only on the side adjacent to The Bryan Museum. The side next to White Magnolia requires a residential parking pass and vehicles parked there without one may be ticketed or towed.
👥 How many people can sleep at White Magnolia?
Our lovingly restored 1920s home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. Each bedroom is designed with both comfort and function in mind:
- Bedroom 1: King bed
- Bedroom 2: Queen bed
- Bedroom 3: One queen bed, three twin beds, and one trundle
- Bedroom 4: Twin Murphy bed

🚿 How many showers are there?
Guests enjoy two full indoor bathrooms plus a private outdoor shower — perfect for rinsing off after the beach. The outdoor shower is surrounded by privacy fencing and greenery for a peaceful, spa-like experience.

🌴 What outdoor items are available for guests?
We love helping guests make the most of the island. Outdoor amenities include:

🧺 Is there a washer and dryer on site?
Yes — there is a full-size washer and dryer available for guest use at White Magnolia Galveston. Complimentary detergent pods and dryer sheets are provided so you can easily refresh towels, beachwear, or personal laundry during your stay.
The laundry area is located inside the garage and is available to guests throughout their visit.
🚋 Is island public transportation within walking distance?
Yes! You can walk a few blocks to the Galveston Island Trolley, which runs to the Seawall, Pleasure Pier, and The Strand. Many guests also enjoy walking or biking to nearby restaurants and shops. For current trolley schedules and routes, click here.

🍪 Are any baked goodies complimentary? Can additional goodies be ordered to be there on arrival?
Yes! Every stay includes a complimentary welcome treat — often our signature brown butter sugar cookies or a seasonal baked good from White Magnolia Bread Co.
Guests can also pre-order additional items to enjoy during their stay or to celebrate a special occasion:

🌙 When are quiet hours?
Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily. While Moody Avenue can have some traffic noise, each bedroom includes:
- 🌬️ White noise machines
- 🖤 Blackout drapes
These touches help ensure a calm, restful stay in the lively East End Historic District.
🧺 Are linens, towels, and toiletries provided?
Yes — each guest is provided with one bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth, with additional towels available in both bathrooms. Shower dispensers with soap, shampoo, and conditioner are stocked in each bathroom. You’ll also find hand sanitizer and room sprays throughout the property.
🍳 Is there a fully equipped kitchen?

☕ Is coffee provided?
Yes — complimentary coffee, cream, and sugar are provided for both brewing styles, including Keurig and drip coffee.
🐶 Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, White Magnolia does not allow pets.
🏖️ How far is the beach?
The beach is less than a mile away — about 0.3 miles to Seawall Boulevard and Pleasure Pier, just a few minutes by bike or a pleasant walk.

🔒 Is the property private or shared?
White Magnolia is a fully private home. Guests have exclusive access to the house, courtyard, and garage space. Please note: parking is not available inside the garage due to size and layout.
🧽 Is there a cleaning fee or mid-stay cleaning?
A one-time cleaning fee is included in your reservation. Mid-stay cleanings are available upon request for an additional fee. For longer stays (over one week), an additional cleaning may be required. Please note: no glitter or confetti is allowed on the property — additional cleaning fees may apply if used.
🕓 What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in begins after 3:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and must be coordinated in advance of your stay.
📶 Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes — high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the home, perfect for remote work or streaming. Signs around the property display the network name and password for easy access.
🧯 Are there safety features?
White Magnolia is equipped with smoke and CO detectors, exterior security cameras, and well-lit entryways for peace of mind.
🧳 Can I store luggage before check-in?
When available, early bag drop can be arranged for cruise guests or early arrivals. Requests must be made in advance and coordinated through messaging. After check-out, bags cannot be left on the property.
🍽️ Are there nearby restaurants or grocery stores?

🎉 Can I host a small event, bridal prep, or photoshoot?
Yes — small gatherings, bridal preparations, and photoshoots are welcome with prior approval. The home includes dining chairs for up to 16 people (some in the home and others conveniently stored in the garage).
Bridal prep and photo-friendly spaces are a guest favorite.
🌦️ What happens if there’s bad weather?
We follow official Galveston city and county advisories. In the rare event of a mandatory evacuation, we work with guests on flexible rebooking options as permitted by our booking platforms and policies.
